Case Study : Mobile Office … Expecting a 1,300% 5-year ROI

Submitted by TKorea on 2010/03/07 – 7:21 pmNo Comment

The Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (SMRT) was established in March 1994 to operate Seoul’s metropolitan subway lines 5, 6, 7, and 8. It operates 149 stations over 152km and 200 trains. In 2009 the number of boarding passengers was 592 million with a daily average of 1.6 million in the four passenger lines combined.

Before adopting a mobile-office system, to operate its subway lines SMRT staff manually checked facilities and brought the results to an office, then recorded and analyzed it. This made it difficult to maintain operational continuity and was inefficient.
