LG Launches MS Smartphone GW550 in Brazil and Argentina
LG Electronics announced it has launched a Windows Phone (formerly Windows Mobile 6.5) based bar-type smartphone, the LG GW550, in Brazil and Argentina and it will be available soon in Asia and Mideast regions in sequence.
The size of buttons on the QWERTY keypad is 20 percent larger than a regular QWERTY phone, enabling users to more quickly and accurately input in messages or email with the GW550.
With the “Smart e-mail” button, users are able to check important email which filters for preset listed email address among the massive incoming push of email. With the “Smart contact” button, users are able to manage frequently used contact lists up to 20.
The LG GW550 has a 2.4-inch TFT-LCD with a 3.2-megapixel camera. It supports Wi-Fi connectivity and A-GPS. In addition, for convenience there is tele-conference for business users, the GW550 also has a high-performance dual speaker on the back.
