Nokia XpressMusic Hits the Shelves in Korea
Nokia has announced that the its 5800 XpressMusic smartphone is available for KT customers. This is Nokia’s second smartphone to hit the market in Korea. It follows theĀ Nokia 6120s that were introduced in April this year.
The new Symbian OS phone targets music-savvy mobile phone users by delivering easy and fast access to all songs, videos and photos through a one-touch ‘Media Bar’ drop-down menu. The 3.2-inch touch-screen phone allows for easy drag-and-drop transfer of songs from the PC to the phone and facilitates management of the music collection. The Media Bar also offers a direct link to the Web and to online sharing. With the ‘Contacts Bar,’ users are able to highlight four favorite contacts on their home screens and, through a single touch, see a digital history of recent text messages and phone logs.
Unlike the Nokia 6210s, the XpressMusic supports WLAN access that allows easy, fast access to the Internet. To easily input tasks, the smartphone offers a finger keypad, full keyboard, and mini-keyboard.
The XpressMusic has a 3.2-megapixel camera module and offers 4 GB of memory, which can be expanded to 16 GB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The XpressMusic is available in two colors – silvery black and red. Retail price is 550,000 won.
