New SK Phone Hits the Market
SK Group re-entered the local mobile phone market with the “W (model SK-700)” phone made by SK Telesys, an affiliate of SK Telecom. Four year ago, SK Group dropped its mobile phone business when it sold its handset maker SK Teletech to Pantech.
The “W” is only available to SK Telecom customers and focuses on ease of connectivity with social networking services and blogs such as Cyworld, Naver, T-Story, and Textcube.
With a capacitive touch-screen display, the W offers a more natural multi-touch function than other resistive types, SK Telesys said. The 3-inch LCD phone has a 3-megapixel camera module and adopted a mobile TV function (T-DMB). Other features include Bluetooth and GPS. The suggested retail price is 600,000 won.
